Heterometrus Longimanus "Asian Forest Scorpion" Caresheet

Asian Forest Scorpions are good for the beginner that wants to try something more aggressive than an Emperor Scorpion(Pandinus imperator). Asian Forest Scorpions actually resemble the Emperor Scorpion in coloration, and even shape. These scorpions are dark brown to black, with most species sporting a green or blue tint in certain lighting. They are hardy scorpions, in that way they are similar to Emperor Scorpions. They can be kept in groups of three or more, like Emperor Scorpions, if provided with enough food, but that is not recommended. There are many Heterometrus species that are known as the Asian Forest Scorpion. Don't worry, most of them look similar, and require the same conditions in captivity, so it is safe to put them all in one caresheet. Many times you may notice Asian Forest Scorpions for sale under Heterometrus sp., due to this fact. The specimen photographed to the left is the species Heterometrus spinifer, and was found in rainforest habitat of peninsular Malaysia. Overall, Asian Forest Scorpions are large, attractive, and wonderful scorpions that commonly circulate throughout the hobby.

    1. It's a good thing sir cause they can reproduce without a male.Even if you only have a matured female, they can multiply by themselves, in otherwords, you can have so many H.Longi as you want, or you can sell some of them.

    1. For babies i recon you feed them around 3 to 4 times a week.
      Juveniles 2 to 3 times a week.
Adults may eat less so i suggest you feed it fat juicy mealworms or crickets 2 times a month.
